How We Started

Our journey began in March 2006 as a small takeaway shop in Balmoral, Auckland, with a vision to share the rich and vibrant flavours of Sri Lanka and South India with our community. Inspired by the culinary traditions of Sri Lanka, we aimed to bring a taste of its diverse spices, curries, and unique dishes to New Zealand.

When we first opened, we thought we would sell fish and chips—as you can see on the signboard because we weren’t sure if we would be able to run the shop. But on the very first day, the amount of support we received was amazing. It gave us the confidence to embrace our roots and share the authentic flavours we love, and we’ve never looked back since.

How It's Going

Over the years, our passion for food has only grown stronger. To meet increasing demand, we built a commercial kitchen in our garage, allowing us to focus on catering and bulk orders.This allowed us to expand our reach, sharing fresh and flavourful meals while staying true to our roots. Today, we proudly produce and supply KPS Veechu Roti, KPS Paratha, KPS Spicy Thaddu Vadai, and KPS Murukku. We also specialise in bulk Sri Lankan food orders—no matter the quantity, we can make it happen!

A New Chapter

In 2024, we opened our takeaway restaurant, marking an exciting new chapter in our story. This milestone allowed us to bring our food back to the community, offering a space where people could gather and enjoy the vibrant tastes of Sri Lanka and South India.
